Vicente was named as the Patron Saint of the city and his execution is remembered through ceremonial events that take place in his honour. On the morning of 22nd January there is a procession dedicated to him. The route begins and ends at the city cathedral, passing through some of the main places associated with his martyrdom and the march closes with a Papal mass.
